1:1 Specialised Ski Fitness Sessions

Initial session: movement assessment for individualised program development.

Screening and Goal Setting - Injury, health, exercise and ski history is recorded. This is followed with a postural analysis and a discussion of goals for the exercise sessions.

A ski movement assessment is carried out using selected exercises and ski training equipment to highlight movement patterns, control or weaknesses, and the muscle groups that require specific training to enhance ski technique and decrease risk of injury.

Some exercises are slow and controlled to identify the efficiency of stabilising muscles, while others are more dynamic to assess the strength of certain muscle groups.

The main goals for the areas to train are discussed and some immediate exercises are given while a more specific programme which progresses through exercises and skiing skill progressions will be developed according to lesson bookings.

Printed Ski Performance programmes are included with pictures for reference and home use.
